Who this policy covers
This policy applies to StudioDG, the public art practice of Daniel Giuffre, based in Perth, Western Australia. It covers the website at studiodg.com.au and any enquiry or lead form we run through advertising platforms such as Google Ads. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
Enquiries. The enquiry form on this site asks for your name, your organisation if you choose to add one, your email address, and whatever you write in the message. If you respond to one of our ads through a Google lead form, Google passes us the details you confirmed there, usually your name, email address, phone number and organisation.
Direct contact. If you email or phone us, we hold the contact details and correspondence that come with that.
Site usage. Our host and analytics tools record standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you viewed, and the site or ad that referred you. We read this in aggregate, to understand which work people are looking at. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.
We do not collect payment details through this site, and we do not ask for sensitive information such as health, racial or political information. Please do not send it to us.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry, to quote and deliver commissioned work, to keep records of projects and correspondence, to measure whether our advertising is reaching the right people, and to meet our tax and legal obligations. If we ever want to add you to a mailing list, we will ask first.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information and we do not disclose it for anyone else’s marketing. We do rely on a small number of service providers that process information on our behalf:
- Vercel, which hosts the website and keeps short lived server logs.
- Resend, which delivers enquiry form submissions to our inbox as email.
- Google, for Google Analytics and, where you submit a Google Ads lead form, for collecting that form and passing it to us.
Some of these providers store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. By sending us an enquiry you consent to that overseas handling. We will also disclose information where the law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics sets cookies to work out whether a visit is new or returning and which pages get read. Vercel Analytics measures page views without cookies and without following you across other sites. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt out add on. The site works normally without them.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and project correspondence are kept for as long as the working relationship needs them, and then for seven years to satisfy business and tax record keeping. Analytics data is retained on the default schedule set by the provider. If you would rather we deleted your enquiry sooner, ask us and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Keeping it secure
Enquiries travel over an encrypted connection and are held in password protected accounts with multi factor authentication. No system is perfect, so we hold only what we need. If a breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email daniel@studiodg.com.au or phone +61 419 098 115 and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we handled it, you can take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If this policy changes we will post the new version here and update the date at the top of the page. This version is dated 2 September 2026.
